Deputy Bio

Illustrious Brother Don Duquette is the Deputy for the State of Vermont. He is a Graduate of the Landing School of Boat Building and Design in Kennebunkport Me. Practicing his craft of a shipwright he met Capt. Wendelyn Marks while working on the rebuild of the Hudson River Sloop “Clearwater”. They were married October 21; 1988.Born to this union is Laura Cates, Maxwell Alexander and Nicole Olympia.

After moving to Vermont in 1986 he built houses and in 1991 started collecting real estate. This turned into a successful family business in Stowe allowing him the privilege of sharing equally in the raising of his children.

He plays as hard as he works and is an avid hunter, sailor and snowboarder .He is a member of the Mallets bay boat Club and The Berlin Hunting Club.

He is also member of St Johns in the Mountains Episcopal Church in Stowe.

Brother Duquette began his Masonic career at Golden Rule #5 in Stanstead Que. Where he was raised to sublime degree of a Master Mason November 4, 1994 and was Master for 2 years 1999 and 2000 on Owls head Mountain. He is affiliated with Mystic Lodge # 56 in Stowe and Winooski Lodge #49 in Waterbury Vermont. Brother Duquette is a member of Mt Sinai Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. As a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Scottish Rite Valley of Montpelier he was head of all three bodies.  

Don held the offices of treasurer and secretary for the Valley. He was coroneted a Sovereign Grand inspector General, 33º and honorary member of the Supreme Council on August 28, 2007.He was elected to be an Active member of the governing board of the Supreme Council in August of 2009.On August 25,2014 he was made Deputy 

for the State of Vermont AASR.

Brother Don is a Board member of the Media advisory Board (The Northern Light), Benevolences and Development and The Scottish Rite Museum and Library in Lexington.
